For all manner of clowning activities, these silly lil collars are a perfect accessory to upgrade your look! There are 2 neckline widths (High Neck and Wide Neck) and 2 neckband finishings (Folded Hem Neckband or Single Layer Ribbed Neckband). At the end of the neckband, you can choose from 2 collar options (Single Ruffle and Double Ruffle). The wider-neck design can be worn with a collar or turtleneck peeking out, while the higher neck is designed to disguise the original neckline of whatever you’re wearing - a great way to upgrade a jumper or style a look in a new way!

It is important to me that this pattern is financially accessible and so for low-income customers, this pattern can be purchased at 50% off using the code ‘LOW50’. This is an honours system - please respect that I also am trying to make a living from my designs and if you can afford the full price I’d appreciate if you paid it.

Special thanks Gwen Wagner-Adair (Technical and grammatical editing), and David Morrow (graphic design, photography) for their amazing work on the team for this pattern!

SIZING:

This pattern is one size fits all: the High Neck variation is more fitted while the Wide Neck is more relaxed. Both SIngle Ruffle and Double Ruffle styles can be worked from either neckband.
To pick a size, use the neck circumference as a guide. The neck circumference will not match your finished ribbing circumference as when you add the ruffles it stretches out due to the increases.

YARDAGE:

The yardage chart is pictured in the pattern photos. The yardage for this pattern will differ slightly depending on your yarn choices as small variations in gauge may happen, however you should be fine as long as you are roughly achieving the recommended gauge; there is 5% extra yardage included in these figures. Ruffle 2 yardage includes enough to hold the yarn double for the trim and cast off as recommended. I used Qing Fibre Classic Sock (75% SW merino, 25% nylon, 400m / 437yds per 100g) in colourway Hero and Qing Fibre Veranita (79% Cashmere, 21% silk, 300m / 325yds per 25g) for Ruffle 2.

GAUGE:

The pattern is worked in 3 different gauges:

Ribbing: 42 sts and 22 rounds per 10cm / 4in using 3mm needle

Ruffle Base (4mm): 21 sts and 31 rounds per 10cm / 4in in stocking stitch using 4mm needle

Ruffle Edge (5mm): 17 sts and 25 rounds per 10cm / 4in in stocking stitch using 5mm needle

NEEDLES:

– 3mm / US 3 - 40cm / 16in circular needles

- 4mm / US 6 - 60cm / 24in circular needles

- 5mm / US 8 - 100cm / 40in circular needles

- Spare Needle for optional Folded Neckband - spare 3mm / US 3 or smaller circular needles

SUPPLIES NEEDED:
