Stylish with a warm hat … with(out) pompom …
The No PomPom Hat Series consist of 6 patterns - all with a ‘No-PomPom’.
From easy and quick knits at a big gauge up to more sophisticated patterns with mock cables or colour work you will find a variety of styles and designs.
If you don’t like making PomPoms or don’t have enough yarn, you might like this way of making a No-PomPom instead. Stuffed with cotton or scrap yarn, you can decide how much you fill it to obtain a more or less full ball.
No PomPom 1: Stockinette and reversed – quick and easy. 13sts x 20R
two versions for the brim
- only knit stitch / knit and purl stitch.
No PomPom 2: Art Deco Lines and Squares. Reversible. 22sts x 32 R
No PomPom 3: Globes - “mock” cables without cable needle! 19sts x 26 R
Pattern includes the instructions for a cowl/collar.
No PomPom 4: Side to side… super simple and quick. 14sts x 20R
No PomPom 5: Broken ribs. Simple. 22sts x 32 R DK
No PomPom 6: Cables and colours. Quick and easy. 14sts x 20R
No PomPom 1 is a super easy and quick knit - worked in the round, only with knit stitch. The effect of stockinette and reversed stockinette stitch is obtained by turning the work.
Material
Any yarn matching the gauge. Yardage approximately 70-90y/50g … consumption about 120-140y
DPN’s to obtain gauge (7-8mm / US 10-11), tapestry needle, 1 stitch marker or yarn loop,
Cotton, yarn rests, polyester fibre (like in cushions) or other filling material to stuff the “No PomPom”
Prototype is knitted with two threads held together (Merino-alpaca in DK weight, 130y/50g), consumption each 40g.
Gauge
4 inch / 10 x 10 cm = 13 stitches x 20 rows/rounds in stockinette stitch
Height approximately 24 cm (9.5”) / width: 51-55-60 cm (20”-22”-24”)
This pattern can be adapted easily to any other gauge or width
Stylish mit einer warmen Mütze „ohne“ Bommel……..
Diese Mütze ist ein Teil der No PomPom Serie – bestehend aus 6 Anleitungen - alle mit einem Nicht-Bommel.
Von super schnellen und einfachen Modellen mit dickem Garn zu komplizierteren Mustern mit falschen Zöpfen oder mehrfarbigen Mustern ist alles dabei.
Wer nicht gerne Bommel wickelt (oder zu wenig Garn für einen Bommel übrig hat) ist hier richtig!
Stramm oder locker gefüllt mit Watte oder Wollresten kann man sich für eine vollere oder flachere Kugel entscheiden.
Material
Jedes weiche Garn, das zur Maschenprobe paßt. Lauflänge ca. 65-70m/50g … Verbrauch ca. 12-140m
Muster gestrickt mit zwei Fäden Merino-Alpaca, je ca. 110m/50g, Verbrauch ca. 40g je Farbe
Passendes Nadelspiel, um die Maschenprobe zu erreichen, Stärke ca. 7-8mm
Nadel zum Vernähen der Fäden. Watte, Garnreste, Hohlfasern oder anders Füllmaterial für den „NO PomPom“
Maschenprobe
10 x 10 cm = 13 Maschen x 20 Reihen in glatt rechts
Höhe ca. 24 cm / Weite ca. 51 -55 - 60 cm
Die Anleitung kann einfach für jede andere Kopfweite (oder Maschenprobe) angepaßt werden
