Echinopsis chamaecereus (H. Friedrich & Glaetzle 1983) is a very common cactus in collections, native to Argentina; it is easy to propagate and produces fantastic flowers. Almost everyone knows it as Chamaecereus silvestrii [(Spegazzini) Britton & Rose 1922], but the current correct name is Echinopsis, which includes other previously independent genera.
