No child should ever have to experience this type of trauma and pain. Unfortunately, our children are mishandled and touched inappropriately and this happens on a daily basis all around the world. It’s time for parents, guardians, and the adults in their lives to have these types of conversations with their children about their bodies, about safe and unsafe touches. Children do not have the vocabulary to put into words the trauma they may have experienced and they don’t just make up things like this. Parents and adults should get training on this subject and look out for warning signs. Let’s believe our children when they come to us to share what has happened to them. Let’s not be angry with them for keeping it a secret for so long and get them the help they need. This book can be used with social workers, school counselors, therapists, doctors, advocates, nurses, etc.
