DESCRIPTION

Saltash is a triangular scarf knitted from corner to corner using an 8-row cable repeat. Four sizes are given, so there is the option to knit a wee scarflette or something more like a shawl. The pattern is worked in three sections. Beginning with an i-cord cast on (or standard cast on if preferred), stitches are gradually added along one side of the shawl until you reach the centre, where you work a few rows straight before decreasing to the opposite point. Cables are worked throughout and follow the direction of the increases and decreases, changing direction at the halfway point. The edges of the scarf are worked in i-cord for a neat finish. The pattern is both written and charted.
