Essential Greatness: John F. Kennedy, His Presidency and Legacy
This set of 4 lectures examines the dramatic life, presidency and legacy of America’s 35th president, John F. Kennedy. We will explore the life of his father, Joe Kennedy, his family and career leading to his election in 1960, followed by the event-filled 2 and ½ years that included the raising of the Berlin Wall, civil rights protests, and the Cuban Missile Crisis. We will also include in this series an in-depth look at the Race to the Moon that JFK inspired, culminating in Neil Armstrong’s landing on the moon in 1969.
