Computer Coding in Python 2D Arrays

This lesson moves students on from the basics of coding and using variables in Python and begins to introduce them to the two-dimensional Array data structure. With this lesson, students will learn a better way to store data, understand what two-dimensional arrays are, why they are used as well as their benefits i.e. slicing two-dimensional array, inserting data, sorting etc… 

Students are expected to have some prior knowledge of Python and should be comfortable with the following concepts: 

• Creating and using variables 

• If statements 

• Loops 

• Print and input functions

• 1D list data structures

This is a fun and engaging manner to teach students the concept of the list data structure in Python.
