📌 Motion Tile Installation Guide (After Effects)

This guide will help you install and use the Motion Tile preset in Adobe After Effects.

1️⃣ Installation

🔹 Step 1: Download the file Make sure the dpndmotiontile.ffx file is downloaded to your computer.

🔹 Step 2: Copy to the correct folder

• Windows: Copy the file to: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects\Support Files\Presets\
• Mac: Copy the file to: /Applications/Adobe After Effects/Presets/

🔹 Step 3: Restart After Effects Close and reopen After Effects so it can load the new preset.

2️⃣ How to Use

🔹 Step 1: Open a new or existing project

• Create a new composition (Ctrl + N / Cmd + N).
• Import a video or image you want to apply the Motion Tile effect to.

🔹 Step 2: Apply the Preset

• Open the Effects & Presets panel (Ctrl + 5 / Cmd + 5).
• Type dpndmotiontile into the search bar.
• Drag and drop it onto the layer you want to apply the effect to.

🔹 Step 3: Adjust the effect

• You can modify the effect settings inside the Effect Controls panel.
• Fine-tune the movement and replication to fit your needs.

3️⃣ Troubleshooting & FAQ

❌ I can't find the preset in After Effects ✔ Solution: Double-check that the file is in the correct Presets folder, then restart After Effects.

❌ The effect isn't doing anything ✔ Solution: Make sure you applied it to the correct layer, and adjust the Output Width / Output Height values in the Effect Controls panel.

❌ After Effects gives an error message when loading the preset ✔ Solution: Ensure the preset is compatible with your After Effects version (2022 or newer is recommended).
