Each pattern contains 3 designs, some of which are now also available separately. All of these puppets require a little experience to complete, however, they come with explicit instructions and plenty of pictures which make the patterns look a lot more complicated than they actually are. They are mostly made with UK-dc (US-sc).
I don’t see the point in making toys for children which can’t be washed so I use machine washable acrylic DK. This means that you don't have to worry about them getting dirty because you can just put them in the washing machine. It also comes in a variety of cheerful colours.
Materials: Acrylic DK in a variety of colours to suit.
Equipment: 4.00mm hook for DK, Needle for sewing in ends.
Finished Size: About 18cm/7ins tall and 10cm/4ins when flat and not including any bits.
Tension: Not important as long as they fit your hand when you have finished but, for those who like to be precise -
16 dc (US-sc) and 21 rows to a 10cm square.
