The Reality of Falling in Love: Lesbian Doctor Romance

When Matilda “Tilly” Birkeland takes on a trauma surgeon position at one of New York City’s busiest hospitals, she hopes the new job is a fresh start to a life that has been spiraling out of control. The demanding hours leave little room for dating but that is okay with Tilly. And, besides, it’s New York City, with plenty of lesbian women to choose from.

Faigy Rosner, widow and mother of one, leads a quiet, pious life with her teenage daughter, Gitty. When she learns that Gitty has been critically injured in a car accident, Faigy rushes to be by her daughter’s side. Faigy is taken aback by the female doctor who seems to care greatly about her daughter and soon a forbidden romance ensues. But when tragedy strikes, Tilly and Faigy’s love will be put to the test and they will come to understand that the reality of falling in love is not at all like the movies.
