The Road from Colony to Country: A Military History of the American Revolution
This 4-lecture set examines the military aspects of the American Revolution from its beginnings at the Battle of Bunker Hill throgh critical contests at New York City, Valley Forge, Monmouth and Brandywine including southern battles such as Cowpens and Yorktown. We will also explore the diplomatic breakthroughs that proved essential for American victory. Figures such as George Washington, Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton and the Marquis de Lafayette will all figure prominently.
