Close to Home

Originally designed as a gift for my father, it was the local wool close to his childhood home that inspired the Close to Home hat. Knit in the beautiful Daughter of a Shepherd Hebridean and Zwartbles DK this hat is lightweight yet incredibly warm making it the perfect transitional piece to take you from autumn through to spring.

This one skein project, with it's repetative stitch patterns, would make a great weekend project or quick gift knit.

This design is knit in the round from the bottom up and has both written and charted instructions. You can find tutorials for all the methods used in this pattern on my website.

Baby (Child, Teen, Adult, Large Adult) to fit 40.5 (45.5, 51, 56, 61) cm/ 16 (18, 20, 22, 24)” head.
