A big twist on your traditional flying geese quilt block!
This incredibly detailed goose pattern makes a beautiful finished quilt block. The pattern is based on a barnacle goose but the feather colours can be changed to make loads of interesting alternatives.

This pattern contains loads of tiny segments (check out the photo of the unfinished pieces with a centimetre-scale cutting mat in the background) and the concentration of small pieces also means that some of the seams are quite bulky. For these reasons I suggest that this pattern is best for advanced paper-piecers.
The pattern will produce a block that is approximately 12x12 inches which could be used as part of a larger quilt or as a tabletopper or placemat. The PDF also includes instructions to scale-up the pattern to make a quilt of any size.
This PDF download includes:
❤ Printable pieces ❤ Tips for sewing the pieces and directions to piece the sections ❤ A diagram for planning your colour scheme ❤ Instructions to scale-up the pattern to create a larger quilt ❤ ideas for other colour-ways ❤ no Y-seams
The pattern does not include instructions on how to paper piece. There are loads of great quilting resources online where you can learn to paper piece.

I loved making this goose block, I hope you do to!
