About Mindful Coloring
Mindful coloring is one of many ways of bringing mindfulness into everyday situations. While the formal practice of mindfulness requires us to focus on the breath, mindful coloring invites us to focus on the weight of the pencil we are holding, the shade of colors on the paper, and what we feel throughout this creative process.
Mindful coloring suspends our inner dialogue and allows us to disengage from negative thoughts. The act of coloring directs our conscious attention away from ourselves and into the present moment.
This way our mind gets a break and the chance to relax.
