I built this for real family life. It is honest about what families actually spend money on — groceries, car insurance, babysitting, tuition, hair, medical, entertainment, savings — and it does not pretend those categories do not exist.

Designed for Google Sheets. Includes one Instructions tab and twelve monthly tabs — one for every month of the year — so your budget travels with you all year long, not just through January.

Each monthly tab includes:

• An income section for all household sources — Salary 1, Salary 2, Business, Allowance, and Other — with budgeted, actual, and difference columns so you always know where you stand.
• A Budget Summary that automatically pulls your totals together — Total Income, Total Expenses, and Net — so the full picture is always visible at a glance.
• A Goals Summary section tied to seven life categories, connecting your monthly spending directly to your bigger yearly goals.
• Expense sections broken into Home, Personal, Children, Savings, and Entertainment — detailed enough to catch what usually slips through, flexible enough to make your own.
• The tab format is evergreen. Fill in your own year and use it for as long as you need to.

A closing note from me, written directly in the sheet: "The objective here is to try as much as possible not to live beyond your means. Wish you all the best." That is the spirit this was built in.
