Ayako Fujiki - "Brightwater" (CD)

Brightwater is a first album of original works by Ayako, featuring solo piano, two-piano pieces, and a piano–violin–cello trio. The music is grounded in classical tradition while remaining open to influences from world music, ambient, minimalism, and Japanese contemporary aesthetics.

Rather than pushing forward, the album invites the listener to observe — to “watch” its quiet intensity unfold. Inspired by shifting landscapes and the slow, persistent forces of nature, the music reflects beauty shaped over time by water, wind, and stillness.
