Nursing quality Indicators

According to the American Sentinel University (2011), nursing sensitive indicators are fundamental elements of nursing that pertain to care that patients receive. There are three types of nursing sensitive indicators, structural indicators, process indicators and outcome indicators. Structural indicators consist of the nursing staff that is at hand, their skill level, certification level, education level, and the experience they have together as a whole. Process indicators is the system that the nurses use in terms of how they carry out their skills in patient assessments as well as the nursing interventions they take regarding patient care.
