In the depths of the ocean, those sea creatures that so many claim to have seen swim and dance, singing songs at the same frequency as the voices of their enormous but friendly sea friends, with entire cultures and traditions.

The mermaids, in turn, had that goddess who, like the story of the Little Mermaid, became human and accompanies the gods on their journey, or perhaps not, perhaps that part is just another story of the humans of those lands.

I decided to name this character Amphitrite, in honour of the goddess from Greek mythology, who in my imagination could have been a monumental and enchanting mermaid who ruled the oceans alongside Poseidon and its entire maritime community.

I captured what I could within my small room, which is the space that has seen me create month after month for the last 10 months, a 2-metre by 2-metre space where my ideas come to life in front of the lens. ✨
