Goose S1 Stereo Collapsar
Goose S1 Stereo Collapser
Every stereo widener promises bigger. Goose S1 does the opposite — and does it with surgical precision.
Modeled after the classic Waves S1 Stereo Imager but built to run the process in reverse, Goose S1 Stereo Collapser takes wide, wandering stereo images and pulls them back into focus. Collapse a signal all the way down to true mono, dial in exactly how much width you want to keep, or nudge the phase relationship between channels back into alignment — all while watching it happen in real time on a glowing polar radar display.
What it does:
Width / Collapse — smoothly morph a stereo signal anywhere from its original width down to pure mono
Asymmetry & Rotation — rebalance the stereo field or rotate it to correct off-axis recordings
Mid/Side or L/R workflow — switch input and metering between traditional L/R and Mid/Side, with controls that relabel themselves to match
Phase invert — per-channel (or per M/S) polarity flip to fix cancellation issues
Live goniometer radar — a real-time polar display shows the stereo image collapsing as you turn the knob, plus phase correlation and dual input/output metering with peak hold
Features AU, VST3, and Standalone options.
