Sprouted is a design that celebrates new beginnings and the beauty of the growth they usher in — in life, in art, in expression, in self-knowledge and self-love. This crescent shawl begins from the center top with ever-growing rows of stockinette in a loose gauge, giving it more delicacy and drape than most garter stitch shawls. The original lace design along the border is inspired by growth in nature, evoking sprintime leaves and buds. The pattern includes instruction for 4 sizes, so you can size according to your preference (or your stash!).

Recommended yarn:
Sprouted was designed to be worked with two yarns held together throughout: one strand of a fingering weight merino yarn, and one strand of a lace weight mohair/silk blend yarn. The loose gauge with these two yarns results in a very light fabric with plenty of drape and an ethereal halo from the mohair.
