☀️ Sammy, the Pimp Slayer - Bare Horizon ☀️
The desert burns without mercy.
No shade.
No wind.
No sound except distant explosions rolling across the dead city like thunder with a grudge.
Sammy stands at the edge of the wasteland, gold pistol held close, eyes locked on the smoke rising from the ruins ahead.
No armour this time.
No coat.
No backup.
No illusion of protection.
Just Sammy.
And somehow, that feels more dangerous.
Behind her, the convoy is gone. Nothing left but tyre tracks, broken glass, and a few men who finally understood too late that running from her only makes the ending more dramatic.
Ahead lies the old capital.
Or what’s left of it.
A sun-bleached maze of collapsed towers, buried bunkers, and warlords who built little kingdoms out of fear while the world was still coughing up ash.
One of them has the black card.
One of them sent the invitation.
One of them thinks this desert is wide enough to keep Sammy away.
Cute.
She checks the chamber.
One round loaded.
One more in reserve.
That’s all she needs when the target has already made himself obvious.
A radio crackles from somewhere in the wreckage at her feet.
Static.
Then a voice.
“Turn back, Sammy. You’re exposed.”
She looks up at the burning skyline.
For a moment, the whole wasteland seems to hold its breath.
Then she smiles.
Not sweetly.
Not kindly.
Like the sun itself just made a deal with the wrong woman.
“Good,” she says.
The first sniper shot cracks across the desert.
Sammy moves before the echo reaches her.
Dust erupts behind her.
Smoke curls around her feet.
Somewhere in the ruins, men start shouting.
Too late.
She walks forward anyway.
Because the thing about standing in the open is simple:
Everyone can see you.
But Sammy?
She can see everyone back.
