40 - Sofia SLWC (Chapter 1)

Summary:

Nachdem Sofia ihren SLC zwei Wochen lang getragen hat, kehrt sie ins Krankenhaus zurück, um ihn gegen einen SLWC austauschen zu lassen.

Während der neue Gips angelegt wird, hilft Sofia dem Arzt sogar dabei, die Polsterung richtig zu positionieren, und besteht darauf, den Gummiabsatz in die Hand zu nehmen, bevor er am Gips befestigt wird. Sie erzählt, dass der Gummiabsatz ihr Lieblingsteil am Gips ist, weil er nicht nur das Gehen erleichtert, sondern auch stilvoll aussieht und gut zu ihrer Schuhsammlung passt.

Am Ende der Behandlung überprüft der Arzt den Gips ein letztes Mal. Mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden lobt Sofia seine Arbeit und sagt, dass der neue Gips sehr gut gelungen, bequem und besonders glatt verarbeitet sei.

After wearing a SLC for two weeks, Sofia returns to the hospital to have it replaced with a SLWC.

While her new cast is being applied, Sofia even helps the doctor position the padding and insists on holding the rubber heel in her hands before it is attached to the cast. She comments that the rubber heel is her favorite part of the cast because, besides making walking easier, it also looks stylish and matches her shoe collection.

At the end of the procedure, the doctor performs one final inspection of the cast. Pleased with the result, Sofia compliments his work, saying that the new cast is very well made, comfortable, and has a smooth finish.
