Boka Morena Oa Khanya - (Praise Ye Lord, Oh My Soul)

"Boka Morena Oa Khanya" which can be loosely translated to "Praise/Bless Ye Lord, Oh My Soul" is a full chorus, composed for an ensemble (SATB Quartet) and an SATB Chorus.

It has also been orchestrated for Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion and Strings Section, namelly for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet in B Flat, Basson, Horn in F, Trumpet in C, Trumpet in B Flat, Trombone, Euphonium, Cymbals, Pitched Timpani, 1st and Second Violin, Viola, Cellos and Double Basses.

It comes from a work called "Reflections Of A Sinner" by Lehlomela Tente. It was composed back in 2019, but edited and completed August 2025.

It is a 128 Bar Score, with two movements. It is an inspiring piece, full of emotional and intense passages that demand both the ensemble and the chorus to be at par with the demands of the composer. Both the conductor, the musicians and everyone involved will enjoy working on this piece.
