Good if you're on the fence about becoming a contractor

As an educational SLP, I was worried about becoming a contractor next school year, especially with how to save for retirement and cover health expenses. This book really helped—it gave me clear answers and made everything feel a lot less overwhelming. It saved me so much time that I would have otherwise spent googling everything. Highly recommend it.

Start here if you haven't started anywhere else

The question/ answer format is easy to follow and understand. It's nice to have SLP specific examples. However, they focus almost entirely on teletherapy and ignore other 1099 contractors such as home health, portable MBS, and seeing clients in a home office.
It is pricey for what it is. I have individually googled most of these questions in my own research. I had to google "how to make quarterly tax payments" after reading this material. This is a good starting place for SLPs who want to work a side gig, have a small sole proprietorship or LLC, and do not have employees or a complicated business set up.

Extremely Helpful

Thank you for creating this resource for SLPs! I found the ebook to be super helpful in terms of understanding what deductions I can take and what I need to consider as a 1099 contractor.
