Although they are both on crutches with a sprained foot best friends Dorothy and Suzy decide to crutch down to the river on this nice summer-day. They both only have one shoe on and the sprained foot in only in a sock and they crutch with the socked foot in the air all the time, first along the road, then up a little hill, then over a bridge where they put the socked foot through the banister at the end.
