A Christmas tree quilt that truly shows your love of the holiday, this striking quilt design featuring hearts, zigzags and diamonds is a great pattern for showcasing your favourite Christmas fabrics. The large hearts finish at 8" square meaning that even larger prints will be well represented.
The pattern gives two design options, as pictured in the listing images. The Simple Version is simply hearts and is the quickest and easiest of the two. The Adorned Version features added diamonds between the heart blocks and an extra, smaller heart on top of the tree. More time-consuming and a bit trickier, but the added decorative element really does add something special to the design. Pressing instructions are included to ensure that seams nest in order to make the piecing that bit easier.
Also included is a mini quilt pattern, with hearts finishing at 2" square (quilt is shown with a thread spool for scale). This little quilt would be a very sweet wall hanging at Christmas, or would make a great table topper or even a cushion/pillow cover.
As always, the pattern features detailed instructions with illustrations and tips. Whether your preference is written instruction or images, you should be fine with this pattern. Colouring pages at the end of the pattern allow you to play with colour or to sketch out quilting ideas, and I've included a couple of ideas for variations for quicker quilts, or scrappy backgrounds.
