Catching a Glimpse

This book of some 40 poems is on a military theme, all of the poems will give a glimpse into the psyche of an ex and still serving service men or women. This book reveals both the humour and the torment that can affect a service person after even the shortest time in uniform and as such may offend or shock some people with its bluntness.

About the Author

The author has spent most of his life (boy and man) wearing the uniform of his country, both as a regular soldier and as a reservist. The author has adopted the pseudonym of Victor M because although these poems were wrote by him, they carry the voice of so many others, he was simply the first one to commit them to paper.

As you read through the poems in the book you will see he lifts the lid on the effects of service life. In his own personal style he reveals both the darker and lighter sides of service (the lighter side been very close to the bone and may offend some), by taking his and the experiences of others and committing them to paper he hopes to enlighten the world a little to a soldiers life.
