QB154 - The Pillow Case Project

This pattern is part of my effort to ease the pain a child feels when they are removed from a home for their own safety. During those moments - their possessions are often gathered up and placed into a garbage bag. It's a tragic time for the child, the family, and the protective services officer who must make the hard call at that moment.

A pretty pillowcase won't change much about that immediate situation - but it can replace that garbage bag.

I offer this pattern as my gift to any quilter/sewer who wants to make a few and then donate them to their local Children's Protective Services office, Fire Department or Police Department.
