E/A-18G Growler

An E/A-18G Growler, attached to the “Cougars” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 139, launches from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) while operating in the Pacific Ocean, Dec. 5, 2025. VAQ 139 returned to their homeport of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island after a nine-month mission in the U.S. 3rd, 5th, and 7th Fleet areas of operations aboard Nimitz, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 11.
