Carved Wood Socks Knitting Pattern
Architecture is an endless source of inspiration in knitting design. Old doors and windows, with their unusual shapes and beautiful patina, are particularly inspiring.
For this design, I worked with the pattern carved on a beautiful wooden door and merged it with the vertical aesthetics of a pointed arch window.
The Carved Wood socks are a cuff-down pattern with stranded knitting on the cuff, using a set of mini-skeins. I used colors reminiscent of the life cycle of copper: brown-green to teal to aqua blue.
