Made famous through The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, A Thousand Years is one of Christina Perri’s best-known songs and has become a particularly popular choice for weddings.

This brass band arrangement was originally written for the wedding of my close personal friends Dave and Sally Cook, and is dedicated to them. I was delighted to arrange it for such a special occasion, and I’ve tried to retain the warmth and emotional character of the original song throughout.

This is a shorter concert version, lasting around three minutes. It begins with a gentle, lyrical feel before gradually building towards a powerful and uplifting climax, then settles beautifully at the close with a real sense of serenity.

It works particularly well for weddings, concerts and calmer moments in a programme.
