Our Secret Paradise

Ella lay very still; she could see her Aunt and Uncle lying side by side on a double bed, through a dim light from the other end of a darkened window.  Juan, her mother's sister and Ben, her husband were kissing on the bed. They were lying on top of the cover, with their feet towards where Ella lay in the sofa bed with her two cousins, Ralph and Tonia.

Ella could see that the two adults were dressed for bed, and they were just lying there together with their arms around each other kissing. Ella couldn't believe that she was here. She hadn't seen her cousins in several years, but two weeks ago, her Aunt Juan had called her mother and asked if Keila (Ella's given name) would like to go on vacation with them.  Her mother had agreed and they had stopped in the middle of the night to pick her up at her house.

Shortly after this she had been vaguely aware of her aunt and uncle moving past where they slept to the back of the trailer, and realized that they must have reached their destination. She had just about dozed back off when she heard her aunt giggle.  She had peeked to see what was going on and discovered that they were kissing and smooching
