Home education can be wonderfully freeing but it can also feel lonely at times.

Whether you're brand new, years into your journey, navigating SEND, questioning your next steps, or simply craving a space where people "get it", you're welcome here.

The Home Ed Circle is a relaxed monthly online gathering created by two experienced home educating mums who are passionate about building genuine connection within the community.

Between us we bring different perspectives and more than 2 decades of home education experience.

We are receiving messages every day from parents looking for support, reassurance and connection. We've realised it's because there's a gap between the public social media conversations and formal advice groups online. This Circle is our way of filling that gap. Giving parents a safe space to explore their options with genuine back and forth conversation and real experiences.

What to expect

Once a month we'll meet online for around 60–90 minutes near the end of the month. Each session has a loose theme to help us reflect on the month that's ending and step intentionally into the month ahead.

There are no lectures.

No pressure.

No pretending you (or we) have got it all figured out.

Instead, expect thoughtful conversations, shared experiences, practical ideas, encouragement and plenty of reassurance from people who understand.

Some months you might have loads to say. Other months you might simply listen while folding washing. Both are equally welcome.

Come exactly as you are

Children in the background? Perfectly fine of course.

Still in pyjamas? Absolutely.

Walking the dog? Join us.

Cooking dinner? Bring us into the kitchen.

Who is it for?

The Circle is open to:

Home educating parents at every stage.

Families navigating SEND or circumstances that make in-person groups difficult.

Parents considering home education and wanting to hear real experiences.

Anyone interested in alternative approaches to education and learning.

You don't need to have all the answers.

You don't even need to know what questions to ask.

Every month includes

A live 60–90 minute online Circle.

A small, capped group so everyone has the opportunity to contribute.

A different monthly reflection theme.

Space to celebrate wins, ask questions, share struggles or simply listen.

A members-only WhatsApp Hub for reminders, gentle encouragement and occasional community check-ins.

A post-session summary video and resource list, so if life gets in the way you'll still receive the key takeaways.

Please note that live sessions will be recorded and made available in our communities to help others and for those who arent able to attend live.
