Dr. Maartje earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology in 2008, after which she began her career as a clinical professional. By 2011, she became the head of an outpatient neuropsychology clinic, where she designed treatment programs, and a few years later, she led an outpatient clinic specializing in adult ADHD. With certifications in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), CBT for adult ADHD, schema-focused therapy, and EMDR, she has diagnosed and worked with clients experiencing personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, dementia, and traumatic brain injury. After moving to the United States, she pursued her PhD, applying brain science to the design of systems.
