Due to the stereotypical view and strong opinions of others. As single mothers we get tired of pushing through the pain, we get tired of being the strong person, we are tired of picking up the pieces, and providing a solid backbone for others to lean on. We are strong, not because we want to be, but because we must be. We are not equipped to give up, but we do not have to be strong all the time. Single mothers are NOT Strong Enough to carry other people’s burdens along with our struggles and maintain a healthy lifestyle! This is my WHY to building this Journal.
There are limited economic resources to obtain the assistance we so desperately need and desire. Not having the time, energy, or mental strength, from locating a reliable babysitter to finding a second job to cover/or prepare for those unexpected expenses. Yes, Mental Health & Wellness resources are out there, but as a single mother sometimes we lack the support and means for those professional services.
Here, I help you think for yourself and release the answers to so many questions that YOU have not answered. For those who have ALL the answers, I structure the questions, moreover, help challenge your way of thinking.
Sometimes we need to challenge our thoughts and put things into perspective while eliminating self- ridicule, doubt, and mental harm. This journal will have you put thought into your current situation and bring certain behaviors to your awareness. At the same time, provide tools and techniques to become a better you. Participating in this journal, will help you help yourself and move you to a healthier way of thinking!
