When students complete this workbook they will feel confident and will understand how to convert fractions into decimals and decimals into fractions enabling them to feel more confident during quizzes and standardized tests. The BOOM cards included will solidify their learning by providing review. By the end of the BOOM deck, children will know the the decimal equivalents of fractions that can be recalled instantly. For example, a student will recall instantly that 1/2 = 0.5. With this deck students should be able to convert between decimal and fractions for 1/2, 1/4, 3/4, and any number of tenths and hundredths. Students will begin by converting fractions into decimals and then decimals into fractions.
The PDF resource included is made in ladder form in which student start easy and as they feel more prepared and confident they will move on to more difficult problems. This is great for differentiated learning. The anchor posters come in black and white and in color for your use. Some of the activities included will require the use of scissors and colors.
