Want to do some quilting and spend time with God?
The Add Grace QAL and devotional journey lets you do just that! We’ll make our Add Grace quilts together, plus enjoy 40 daily devotional readings that help focus our hearts on grace as we prepare to celebrate Easter. The fun all starts on Wednesday, March 2nd.
The Add Grace quilt
The Add Grace pattern makes a 72" x 72" quilt, using mostly traditional piecing methods with a little bit of foundation piecing. Once you register, you’ll receive an email with the fabric requirements so you can start shopping your stash or head to your favourite LQS.
The daily devotions
Emailed daily from Monday-Saturday, the daily devotions are fun sized readings designed to give you something to ponder throughout your day, so you can meditate on God’s word and keep your focus on His grace.
I’ve never done paper piecing before, will I be able to make the Add Grace quilt?
Yes, you will! The paper piecing is only for one block, and that block only has a few seams, making it perfect for paper pieicng newbies. Plus, I’ll be sending you a video that shows how I use freezer paper for the paper piecing, which makes it quicker and you won’t have to rip out the paper at the end.
I’m busy. Will I be able to keep up?
Quilting and time with God both have to fit in with all of our other responsibilities, which is why I designed Add Grace to not be overwhelming. Along with the fabric requirements, you’ll also get the cutting instructions, so you can cut everything before the QAL even starts, if that will make it easier for you. The cutting instructions also note which cuts are used for which blocks, so you can do the cutting as you make each block, if that works better for your schedule. The schedule also includes built in catch up days, since Sundays are not included in our 40 days, meaning you can use them to work on blocks or just to take a break.
The devotions are not long essays, so they don’t take long to read, and they’ll leave you with something to think about for the rest of your day. The relevant Bible verses are included right in the email, meaning you don’t need to open another app or have your Bible handy.
