In this constant flow of life, we are like a leaf in a river that goes with the current, that stagnates, that sometimes even travels in circles and spirals that seem endless, that rolls around in its abrupt and sudden currents, but that sometimes reaches shallower areas to rest and then appreciate the view.
In this flow that is life, I allow the sharp pain to embrace me and show me everything it came to teach me, that without the presence of pain there would be no absence of joy and happiness, without this internal cleansing, which sometimes hurts so much, there would not be in me these new furrows and lakes full of life and creativity.
I embrace the imperfection of this perfect flow that is life.
| About Flow |
I called this set Flow because I wanted to refer to the constant and uncertain flow of life, but also to those internal flows or processes that we cannot get rid of or avoid. We women come with this process by default, a process that is sometimes so painful and torturous but which also brings with it so many hormonal changes, so many emotions and feelings, that it constantly reminds us of our ability to create, to bring our dreams and ideas to life, but above all, and most beautifully and amazingly, to create life.
I will never forget how much I loved to gaze at my son's tiny hands and feet in his first days of life, and I am still amazed, even though he is now almost nine years old, to see and understand with my whole being that this divine, growing, bold and joyful human being was created inside me.
This set embraces all these flows, all the pain that each process can bring, because life itself is like that, because sometimes everything is so fleeting: happiness, sadness, joy, pleasure, love, and sometimes even heartbreak.
This set embraces this internal flow that stains everything it touches with blood, that stains it with history, with pain, and with everything that my body experienced in the course of that internal process that had to be aborted.
This set embraces the perfection of imperfection.
It embraces the pauses and calm in the midst of the chaos and hustle and bustle of life.
It also reminds us that no process is linear and that we must be compassionate with ourselves in this uncertain life.
