Afitos or Athitos is a village about 80 km south of
Thessaloniki. He is mainly known for his artistic activities that take
place during the months of summer and the tavernas of either the
sea and either overlooking Toroneos Bay from above the rock. The
beach is quite long and forms small bays. In some places it is
sandy with pebbles, but most of it has pebbles and stones. Along
the beach you will find beach bars and taverns that offer parasols
and deck chairs. It is very cosmopolitan and has a busy summer.
Caution is needed when descending to the beach or climb to the
village because the number of vehicles multiplied significantly and
the streets are narrow.
