Hearing and Formation - Week 1
The prophetic voice does not begin on a platform. It begins in the secret place. In Week 1 of Engaging the Authentic Prophetic Voice, Dr. Delisa Rodgers lays the foundation every prophetic person must build on before they are ever trusted to speak. Drawing from Chapters 1 through 4, this lesson takes you into the heart of what authentic prophetic ministry actually requires: trained hearing, biblical grounding, purified motive, and the discipline of the School of the Spirit.
You will explore why God is not restoring spectacle in this season. He is restoring order. You will learn how the prophetic ear is trained through intimacy, stillness, and submission to the Word, and why Scripture is not a suggestion for prophetic voices. It is the standard. You will also discover what it means to carry the weight of the Word and why silence and restraint are marks of maturity rather than signs of weakness.
This week includes chapter teaching summaries, guided reflection questions, group discussion prompts, a daily Silent Listening activation, and writing space for journaling your impressions throughout the week.
What you will learn: The difference between prophetic gifting and prophetic maturity. Why Scripture is the tuning fork for every prophetic word. How stillness trains the ear and purifies the motive. What the School of the Spirit forms in those who submit to it.
