Lego Technic 8048 RC Roadster MOC

Rebuild your LEGO Technic set 8048 “Buggy” into a remote-controlled “Roadster” alternative model!

This MOC is a motorized alternative model for the 2010 LEGO Technic “Buggy” set 8048. It uses only pieces available on that set and a few additional Power Functions components.

Functions:

- RC rear-wheel drive through a solid axle with a gear ratio of 1:167 powered by a single PF l-motor

- RC front wheel steering powered by a single PF servo motor

- Double wishbone, independent front suspension

Worth mentioning aspects:

- It’s lightweight and has very little gear friction. I would say it runs too quick to be played indoors

- Button to turn it on or off is easy to reach

- IR receiver is on the back for optimized signal reception
