Super Simple Cowl Knitting Pattern

A very simple cowl worked in the round. Easy enough for a first-timer, these patterns marry a basic cowl pattern two special yarns to create a cowl you’ll love to snuggle into. 

YARN
1 x The Knitting Goddess Super Simple Cowl Kit which contains
4ply/Fingering weight; 55% British Blue Faced Leicester wool, 45% silk. 200m per 50g
Laceweight Moonbroch; 72% kid mohair, 28% silk, 210m per 25g 

Each kit contains a 50g skein of BFL silk and a 25g skein of Moonbroch. Cowl shown is worked in Coal BFL Silk and Ultimate Rainbow Moonbroch. 

This would be a great way to use up stash yarns – if you already have 50g of 4ply then just add Moonbroch and you’re ready to go. You can find this yarn in 25g and 50g skeins at The Knitting Goddess

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS

5.5 mm/UK 4/US I circular needle with a cable length of 60cm or less.

1 stitch marker.

Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

TENSION

15 stitches and 24 rounds to 10 cm / 4in  over unblocked stocking stitch in the round.  

SIZE

Cowl measures 60 cm / 24 in diameter.

The stocking stich version is 40 cm / 16in deep.
