The Randefalk R3S is a large, deep-cupped euphonium mouthpiece designed to produce a big, powerful sound while retaining clarity, flexibility and response throughout the register.

Part of Randefalk’s newer modular range, the mouthpiece is made in two parts – cup and interchangeable shank. The weight is centred more towards the cup, helping the middle and upper register speak clearly while producing plenty of overtones and maintaining the depth of sound associated with the R-Series.

Randefalk mouthpieces combine both V- and U-shaped characteristics, with a smooth transition into a small cone at the throat. The R3S features a slightly rounded rim, giving a comfortable and versatile feel on the lips.

The R3S is primarily designed for euphonium, although its deep cup also makes it suitable for large-bore trombone players looking for a particularly broad sound.
