Simple Doom Vol. 1

Simple Doom Preset Pack No 1 is a modular, drag-and-drop system of presets for Line 6 Helix products. Simple Doom makes it easy to dial in doom, sludge, stoner, and drone metal tones using classic amps and pedals that define the sound of doom. Open a preset, drag in a pedal, melt some faces.

Modular Philosophy

Each of the five AMP presets is designed to be a template for your core tone. The FX presets contain effects blocks that are dialed in to sound great with each of the amps. Apply any effect to any amp, it works out of the box.

How It’s Made

Simple Doom was created using an array of different guitars, pickups, and tunings to ensure the settings work with your rig and require minimal adjustment. The presets were tested through various sets of studio monitors, headphones, and FRFR cabinets to get the best sound possible from any number of listening environments.

System Requirements

Simple Doom No 1 requires a Line 6 HX device running at least firmware version 3.8. The presets were designed to work with HX Stomp. If you’ve got a Helix Floor or Native, you’ll have even more room for effects stacking (or even multi-amp setups).

Helix Stadium is backwards-compatible so Simple Doom No 1 will work with the latest hardware (although it won’t utilze the new Agoura amps).

The presets use only built-in amps, cabs, and effects (no 3rd party IRs required).

What’s in the Box?

There are five AMP presets and three FX presets. FX presets are not designed to be played through but rather are a container for various effect blocks to be copy/pasted into an amp preset.

Snapshots

Each AMP preset has three Snapshots programmed to take advantage of the gain range of each amplifier model. Helix Floor and Native have space for more than three Snapshots; feel free to make your own custom settings.
