Month by month planting charts only fit one climate. This one counts in weeks from your own last spring frost date, so it works wherever you garden, as long as you get a spring frost.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Look up your average last spring frost date (search "last frost date" with your town or zip code).
  2. Write it under the last frost line on the chart.
  3. Count the weeks either side. Tomatoes, for example: sow indoors 6 to 10 weeks before, plant out 1 to 3 weeks after.

WHAT'S ON THE CHART

  • 29 vegetables, salads and herbs
  • When to start seeds indoors, sow outside and plant out
  • When to pick each crop
