Over the course of a summer, two young boys befriend one another, then are separated under mysterious circumstances. After wandering for many years, one of them returns to find you can never go home again.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: The initial novel, written in 2014, was 80,000 words long. In 2025, it was condensed to 16,000 and given a new ending.
