Estheics: 101

Esthetics:101 is a hands-on, career-readiness course designed to introduce high school students and adults to the fundamentals of skincare, beauty business, and professional success in the esthetics industry.

Why Esthetics: 101

Esthetics:101 was created with a powerful mission in mind — to give people, especially those in underserved communities, an early opportunity to explore the beauty industry not just as a passion, but as a pathway to purpose, professionalism, and prosperity.

This course was born from the belief that every person deserves a strong start. After years of witnessing the transformation that happens when individuals are equipped with both skill and confidence, the vision became clear: bring real-world esthetics education into the classroom. With hands-on training, mentorship, and business readiness woven throughout, Esthetics:101 empowers students in 10th through 12th grade to understand skincare science, master client care, and begin building a profitable future — even before graduation.

It’s more than a class. It’s a life-shifting introduction to entrepreneurship, self-worth, and financial independence. For many, it will be the spark that ignites a lifelong career in beauty — and for some, the foundation of a six-figure empire.

Meet Your Instructor: Heather M. Weatherspoon-Dunn — The Lady Brazilianaire®

Hi there! I’m Heather, a 15-year licensed esthetician, educator, and CEO of The Lady Brazilianaire® Waxing Studio and The Waxing Institute. I’ve built a nationally recognized beauty brand by mastering my craft, serving thousands of clients, and training beauty professionals across the country to earn six figures doing what they love.

But before all of that success — I was just like you: a young person with big dreams, a love for beauty, and no idea how powerful I truly was.

That’s why I created Esthetics:101 — to give high school students like you an early head start in an industry that can change your life. I want you to understand not just how to do facials or waxing, but how to own your skills, start your own business, and build a future that makes you proud.

In this course, I’ll teach you everything I wish someone taught me in high school — with real talk, real skills, and real opportunities to grow into the professional you’re meant to be.

Let’s get to work… your journey starts here.
