This workbook is already included in the files for the Tumble Tee, so if you have purchased that pattern, there is no need to additionally purchase this.

This booklet can be used to help guide you through applying duplicate stitch to any stockinette garment. I felt it was a waste to keep it exclusive to the Tumble Tee, so I am also launching it as a separate item! I really want as many folks as possible to discover the joy of duplicate embroidery! It has photographic and written instructions and comes with 17 different original charts including 3 different alphabets.

This workbook is entirely pay what you want. I have priced it at an optional £2, but to get this pattern for free simply use the code 'FREE' at checkout, if you want to pay £1 as a lil bonus, just use the code 'LOW50'

Adding a duplicate stitch embroidered design can be a perfect way to inject a bit of excitement to a knitted, stocking stitch piece! This guide is designed to accompany the Tumble Tee pattern, but overall I think it can be used to help you personalise any tops or jumpers (especially raglans) - hand-knitted and store-bought alike - as long as they are made in stocking stitch!
In this booklet, I have included instructions for various types of design, as well as a selection of charts for you to embroider on your pieces or to use as inspiration.

About Duplicate Stitch
Duplicate stitch is the process of using a tapestry needle and contrasting colour yarn to follow the path of existing stitches, covering up the original stitch. Duplicate stitch is done once a sweater is complete and blocked.
To add a duplicate stitch motif, you’ll first determine the working area and placement on your sweater - the stitches and rows available for the motif. Then, you’ll identify which motif you’d like to use. Finally, you’ll need to locate where on the garment you want the motif.

Supplies Needed
- A completed, blocked stockinette stitch knitted garment/piece
- Yarn of the same weight/thickness as is used in your piece (to use as thread)
- Lots of locking stitch markers or scrap yarn
- A tapestry needle
- Knitting graph paper or access to online knitting graph resources like stitch fiddle or chart minder
