The work was commissioned by the festival New Slovak Music and was premiered by Chamber Soloists Bratislava with Anu Tali conducting at the Concert Hall of the Slovak Radio, Bratislava, Slovakia on 9 November 2002.
Namah was recorded by Jan Pöschl String Orchestra with Anita Mirossayova conducting for Machajdik's album ,Namah, released by Hudobny Fond in 2008.
