YARNThis sweater was designed in Magpie Fibers Equinox (184 yards/168 meters/115g), a 65% silk/35% linen blend with a tight ply and incredibly soft hand. This yarn makes for a luxurious, all-weather sweater with a lovely sheen and drape.
Other suitable yarns:
Because the recommended yarn is a silk/linen blend, I am recommending mostly substitutions that also include linen and/or silk, so as to achieve a similar sheen/drape. However, many test knitters made beautiful versions from cotton blend yarns (such as Knit Picks Comfy) or 100% wool yarns (such as Malabrigo Rios), which are more widely available at generally lower price points than linen/silk.
